 From The Daily Star:
DOOM preacher Anjem Choudary has warned of a Bosnian-style bloodbath after admitting plans for a new extremist group called Democracy Is Dead.
The cleric forecast that a government ban on his group Islam4UK would stoke hostility between Muslims and white Britons. He claimed there could be a repeat, on our own streets, of the 1995 massacre at Srebrenica in which Serbs slaughtered 8,000 Bosnian men and boys. But, despite mounting tensions surrounding his views, he admitted that he is already rebranding outlawed Islam 4UK under the provocative new banner. He said he planned to launch a new organisation under the title Democracy Is Dead, adding: "You will have to wait and see."
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday, East London-based Choudary, 42, said: "The Government's decision to ban Islam4UK is a very dangerous one as it will only increase the potential for some very nasty conflict. You only have to look at what happened between Bosnia and Serbia at Srebrenica. There could be a bloodbath on the streets." I don't think the British people want that but, when you start to suppress ideological movements, you push them underground and there is more chance of conflict. The Government has created a tinderbox situation by banning us. We were the ones calming things down.?
Islam4UK was banned by Home Secretary Alan Johnson after uproar over Choudary's plans to hold a protest march in the Wiltshire village of Wootton Bassett where the public salute the bodies of soldiers brought back from Afghanistan.
But ex-lawyer Choudary was unrepentant, claiming that white Britons do not understand the strength of feeling of the Muslim population. He said: ?In some cities, one in six of the young people are Muslim. People don?t realise that there are actually four to five million Muslims in the UK. Many of them do not register to vote so the Government?s figures do not reflect the true size of the Muslim population. The Government says there are around one million Muslims in the UK but that is nowhere near accurate. Of course, most will remain silent and not complain but a few could be driven to take the law into their own hands."
"It's a very dangerous situation. You have to consider how, if there is another 7/7, the country would cope. More and more disaffected whites would be driven towards far-right extremist groups such as the British National Party and the English Defence League if there was another attack. If Muslims are not allowed to speak out they could be driven to use other tactics. This in turn will increase tensions with the white community. I would expect fresh attacks on Muslims and the Government will not be able to control the situation."
---
For the FINAL time, this is NOT ABOUT RACE! Islam is NOT a race! It's a f**king religion! Why can't people get that simple FACT into their thick skulls?
"More and more disaffected whites would be driven towards far-right extremist groups..." Yes, because of Islamist fuckers like you, Choudary! You want us to change our country into something that suits YOU. That isn't going to happen. You and your ilk are not wanted here. We like Britain as it is; we certainly don't want to change it into a hell-hole from the 7th century, which is ultimately your aim.
Did you notice this?: "The Government's decision to ban Islam4UK is a very dangerous one as it will only increase the potential for some very nasty conflict." From who, exactly? Yes, MUSLIMS. It's not the 'white Britons' who are going to cause conflict; it's the stupid, idiotic, easily-offended Muslims who will cause the conflict.
I still don't understand how the government can ban the name of a group, but not actually ban the people who formed the group from forming another group? Surely we have laws to stop fuckers like Choudary from doing this? If so, f**king well implement them! Arrest this asshole for inciting hatred, for trying to subvert the law of the land and for attempting to install Sharia in this nation's courts.
I will say this to you now, the British public does not want Muslims ass-hats like Choudary here. Unfortunately, we can't deport him as he was born here, and for some reason we're paying him £25,000 a year in benefits, and giving him police protection! This man is a qualified lawyer. He is able-bodied. He is capable of working but he doesn't. He is a leech, and he needs his benefits removed entirely, and forced into working. How come people who are unable to find a job have their benefits removed after a time if they refuse to take a job, but ass-hats like Choudary get away with £25,000 a year for ever?!

 From BBC News:
Five Muslim men who protested at a home-coming parade in Luton where soldiers were called murderers have been convicted of being abusive. The charges related to a march by The Royal Anglian Regiment through the town in March 2009.
The five men, all from Luton, were convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words and behaviour likely to cause harassment and distress. Two men were cleared of all charges at Luton Magistrates' Court. Jalal Ahmed, 21, Yousaf Bashir, 29, Ziaur Rahman, 32, Shajjadar Choudhury, 31, Munim Abdul, 28, were found guilty. Ibrahim Anderson, 32, and Jubair Ahmed, 19, who are also from Luton, were found not guilty. All had denied the charges.
The five convicted men were given two-year conditional discharges and were ordered to pay costs of ?500 each.
District Judge Carolyn Mellanby said: "I have no doubt it is abusive and insulting to tell soldiers to 'Go to hell' - to call soldiers murderers, rapists and baby killers. It is not just insulting to the soldiers but to the citizens of Luton who were out on the streets that day to honour and welcome soldiers home. Citizens of Luton are entitled to demonstrate their support for the troops without experiencing insults and abuse."
Distress to others
She went on: "The fact that they say they did not intend their remarks to be insulting does not amount to defence in law. They were fully aware that shocking phrases in such circumstances would inevitably cause distress."
Supt Mark Turner, of Bedfordshire Police, said: "We acknowledge that while the events of 10 March attracted high-profile media coverage and generated a lot of public anger, we must point out that our investigation was proportionate and fair to ensure the legal process was followed and maintained. It is also important to remind everyone that this incident involved a very small number of individuals who are not representative of and do not have the support of the Muslim community who live in the town."
Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) lawyer Paul Harrison said: "It is always a difficult job to balance the rights of those wishing to express their views on political issues against the need to protect the public from distress and alarm. We welcome District Judge Mellany's finding that their conduct was threatening and did in fact cause alarm and distress to others present at the parade."
Defence lawyers had argued the right to freedom of speech was at stake and Jubair Ahmed's lawyer Sonal Dashani had referred to the French philosopher Voltaire. He said: "Voltaire said 'I disagree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it'. That was in the 18th Century. Things have moved on since then, though perhaps not as quickly as one might have liked. If you believe in freedom of speech you have to accept that some things will be said that you will like and some things will be said that you will not like."
Angry scenes broke out during the parade for the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, known as The Poachers.
Lawyers defending the men said their clients discussed their plans to protest with police beforehand, had agreed to a time and a place to do so with them, had complied with police throughout and officers had not objected at the time to their slogans.
---
Oh, they dare to quote Voltaire, do they? Fine. Then let's see what would happen if I organised a protest against the creeping Islamisation of this country, and called Muslims murderers, beheaders, pigs, idiots, nimcompoops, etc. Would you accept my defence that I am allowed to say it even though it offends you? No, I doubt it.
And what happened when the Muhammad cartoons were published? Where were you then? Were you telling us we could publish those cartoons because you disagree with what we say but you will defend to the death our right to say it? No. You lot went on a murderous rampage around the world, and ~139 people were killed as a result.
Where was your Voltaire-quoting lawyer then?

 From BBC News:
A radical Islamist group that planned a march through Wootton Bassett will be banned under counter-terrorism laws, Home Secretary Alan Johnson has said.
Members of Islam4UK had planned the protest at the Wiltshire town to honour Muslims killed in the Afghanistan conflict.
The government had been considering outlawing the group - Islam4UK is also known as al-Muhajiroun.
Earlier this week, Gordon Brown said plans for the march were "disgusting".
Mr Johnson said: "I have today laid an order which will proscribe al-Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, and a number of the other names the organisation goes by.
'Tough but necessary'
"It is already proscribed under two other names - al-Ghurabaa and The Saved Sect. Proscription is a tough but necessary power to tackle terrorism and is not a course we take lightly. We are clear that an organisation should not be able to circumvent proscription by simply changing its name."
On Sunday Islam4UK cancelled the march and issued a statement from spokesman Anjem Choudary, saying it had "successfully highlighted the plight of Muslims in Afghanistan. We at Islam4UK have decided, after consultation with others including our Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, that no more could be achieved even if a procession were to take place in Wootton Bassett," he said. The group denied members had planned to carry 500 empty coffins through the town.
The banning order will come into effect on Thursday and make it a criminal offence to be a member, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
---
Right, finally some action against this loser, Anjem Choudary. Now, given that he is a member of this group and will likely not have disbanded the group by Thursday, would the police please go round to his TAXPAYER-PAID-FOR-THROUGH-BENEFITS-BECAUSE-CHOUDARY-CAN'T-BE-BOTHERED-TO-GET-A-JOB house and arrest him, then stick him in isolation in a prison for the next ten years, please? I wouldn't suggest he be given free roam around the prison as he'd only try to stir up hatred and convert people to believing in the feeblend rantings of a long-dead camel herder.

 From Jihad Watch:
Try it for yourself. I just did. Report on Arrakis has the story: search for "Christianity is" at Google and a host of negative recommendations pop up:
But when you search for Islam, no negative recommendations come up -- indeed, no recommendations at all:
Go ahead, try it. I didn't believe it until I did.
Will Google next delete pro-freedom, anti-Islamic supremacism websites?
---
Well, I'm not surprised. They're probably sucking up to the King of Saudi Arabia, or Jordan, or some other shithole.

 From BBC News:
The leader of an Islamic group, said to have extremist links, has written to families of fallen soldiers about its plans to march through Wootton Bassett. Islam4UK wants to walk through the Wiltshire town, which has become famous for paying tribute to soldiers killed in Afghanistan, carrying empty coffins.
Anjem Choudary, of Islam4UK, admitted the town had been chosen because it would attract the most media attention. But former mayor Chris Wannell asked the group to reconsider its choice. Islam4UK is said to call itself a "platform" for the extremist movement al-Muhajiroun.
Mr Choudary, a former lawyer and the leader of Islam4UK, has written a letter on the organisation's website entitled "To the families of British soldiers who have fallen", explaining reasons for the planned march. He said the event, if permitted by police, would involve peaceful "symbolic coffins" being carried to honour Muslim victims of the conflict in Afghanistan.
Mr Choudary said: "The procession is not actually about the people of Wootton Bassett and it never was about them. We are having a procession, it's in Wootton Bassett but it's not about the people there and it's not against them personally - rather it's to highlight the real cost of war in Afghanistan.
"The sad reality of the situation is that if I were to hold it somewhere else it would not have the media attention that it has now. If I am to balance between the sensitivity of having it in Wootton Bassett and the possibility of continuing the quagmire and cycle of death in Afghanistan, then quite honestly I'm going to balance in favour of the latter. In the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be engaging with the local community and the public at large by way of press releases and letters to explain why we're having this march."
Mr Wannell, of Wootton Bassett, said: "I know we still have freedom of speech and freedom of movement but I think that Mr Choudary has made a bad choice and I would hope he would examine himself and say, 'no I'm doing the wrong thing here', and go somewhere else. I think if Mr Choudary has any decency about him he will not march in Wootton Bassett."
Mr Choudary said he had not yet applied to the police with a date requesting permission for the procession through the town. He said it would not coincide with a repatriation ceremony.
---
Exactly, if it weren't being held in Wootton Bassett it wouldn't have the publicity it has now. That's what you're hoping for, Mr. Choudhary.
The Islam4UK group calls itself a "platform" for the extremist movement al-Muhajiroun. Thus, it DOES have links with Muslim extremisim. This group wants to implement Sharia in the UK. If you think your weekly pint or two down the pub isn't threatened by Sharia, think again. Apathy will get you nowhere.
The police and Council of Wootton Bassett have it within their power to stop this march. I suggest they do so immediately.

 From BBC News:
A Somali man has been charged with trying to kill a Danish artist whose drawing of (the Prophet) Mohammed sparked riots around the world. The suspect, who was shot by police outside cartoonist Kurt Westergaard's home in the city of Aarhus on Friday, was carried into court on a stretcher. Police say he broke into the house armed with an axe and a knife.
The suspect, who denies the charge, was remanded in custody. Police say he has links with Somali Islamist militants. The radical al-Shabab group in Somalia hailed the attack. Al-Shabab spokesman Sheikh Ali Muhamud Rage told AFP news agency: "We appreciate the incident in which a Muslim Somali boy attacked the devil who abused our prophet Mohammed and we call upon all Muslims around the world to target the people like" him.
The suspect, who cannot be named for Danish legal reasons, was charged with attempted manslaughter.
The BBC's Julian Isherwood in Copenhagen says he was wearing bandages on his arm and leg and a cloth over his head to conceal his identity as he was carried into court for a remand hearing in Aarhus. Police say the 28-year-old suspect broke into Mr Westergaard's home and shouted in broken English that he wanted to kill him. He is also alleged to have attacked police with an axe when they arrived at the scene.
The 74-year-old cartoonist, who was in the house with his five-year-old granddaughter, raised the alarm from a specially designed panic room.
'Terror link'
The accused denied the charges, but reportedly did admit to being at the scene. The judge remanded him in custody for four weeks, two of which are to be spent in isolation. Earlier, police said the suspect, who had a permit to stay in Denmark, had been shot in the knee and the shoulder. And Jakob Scharf, who heads the Danish intelligence service PET, said the alleged attack was "terror related". The assailant had close contacts with al-Shabab, Mr Scharf said, and had been under surveillance for activities unrelated to Mr Westergaard.
A prominent member of the Somali community in Denmark, Ahmed Daqane, told the BBC that Somalis there had to be more vigilant about extremism. "They have to take care of themselves and talk to the young people who are doing wrong things and misusing Islam," he said.
Safe location
The shaken cartoonist told Danish news agency Ritzau: "I locked myself in our safe room and alerted the police. He tried to smash the entrance door with an axe, but he didn't manage." Mr Westergaard also told the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, which originally published the cartoon in 2005 as part of a set of 12, that he had been taken to a safe location. The cartoon depicted Muhammad with a bomb in his turban.
In 2006 the newspaper apologised for the drawings, but other European media reprinted them. Danish embassies were then attacked by Muslims around the world and dozens killed in riots. Mr Westergaard went into hiding amid threats to his life, but emerged last year saying he wanted to live as normal a life as possible. His house has been heavily fortified and is under close police protection. Islamic militants have placed a $1m (?620,000) price on Mr Westergaard's head. Although he is one of 12 cartoonists whose drawings of the Prophet Muhammad were published in Jyllands-Posten, he has had the highest profile.
---
Notice that when pictures of ANY other 'prophet' are created no one is killed. Notice that when the most murderous, war-mongering 'prophet' ever to have lived has a picture drawn of him, more than a hundred people are killed.
This 'Somali' man is a Muslim. Why not just bleeding well write that? He was inspired to kill the cartoonist because he is an idiot who got his murderous thoughts from his Islamist friends. We have to face facts: Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. Islam doesn't mean peace, it means submission. If you think that you'll be allowed to draw the 'prophet' Muhammad in future, think again. They don't like it. They'll kill you for it. Christians wouldn't do that. Jews wouldn't do that. Buddhists wouldn't do that. Muslims will.
How can people say Islam needs a reformation if the very ideas that would bring about this reformation are outlawed?

 From BBC News:
US President Barack Obama has for the first time publicly accused an offshoot of al-Qaeda over the alleged Christmas Day bomb plot to blow up a US plane. He said it appeared Yemen-based al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula had armed and trained the accused, 23-year-old Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. The group admitted responsibility in an internet statement last week.
Mr Obama has already condemned lapses that allowed the accused, who was on a terror database, to board the jet. In his weekly radio and video address posted on the White House website early on Saturday, Mr Obama said more details of the alleged plot were becoming clear. "We know that [Mr Abdulmutallab] travelled to Yemen, a country grappling with crushing poverty and deadly insurgencies," said Mr Obama, who is on holiday in Hawaii. "It appears that he joined an affiliate of al-Qaeda, and that this group, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, trained him, equipped him with those explosives and directed him to attack that plane headed for America."
US officials have not until now publicly accused al-Qaeda over the incident on Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit. Mr Obama has come under heavy criticism from Republicans, who accuse him of not doing enough to prevent attacks on the US. Some Democrats, too, have joined the clamour for an overhaul of intelligence procedures. The US president - who last week ordered two security reviews - used much of his latest address to outline his administration's measures to keep America safe. He said these included withdrawing troops from Iraq, boosting troop levels in Afghanistan and targeting militants in Yemen, where the suspect spent time before the attack. "All those involved in the attempted act of terrorism on Christmas must know you too will be held to account," he said.
The US Congress, meanwhile, is preparing hearings to question intelligence officials on security failings that allowed a man whom US officials had been warned about, and who had a valid US travel visa, to allegedly smuggle explosives on to a transatlantic jet.
Mr Abdulmutallab, now in US custody, is accused of trying to detonate explosives strapped to his body as the plane, with nearly 300 people on board, prepared to land. The mid-air drama on 25 December has spawned a worldwide aviation security review.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown warned on Friday that rising Islamist militancy had turned Yemen into "an incubator for terrorism". He announced an international conference in London in late January to discuss the danger.
---
Announcing a conference in London will not achieve anything until our dear leaders finally get the balls to link terrorism with Islam. If there is really such a tiny minority of extremists, then why are there so many attacks? How many fundamentalist Christians have tried to blow up planes? NONE. There is a clear link between the teachings of Islam and the terrorists who try to kill innocent people. The terrorists even sit there and make the link themselves! But our governments are too scared to admit it.
How can we fight an enemy if we refuse to name it?

 From Blasphemy.ie:
From today, 1 January 2010, the new Irish blasphemy law becomes operational, and we begin our campaign to have it repealed. Blasphemy is now a crime punishable by a ?25,000 fine. The new law defines blasphemy as publishing or uttering matter that is grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters held sacred by any religion, thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion, with some defences permitted.
This new law is both silly and dangerous. It is silly because medieval religious laws have no place in a modern secular republic, where the criminal law should protect people and not ideas. And it is dangerous because it incentives religious outrage, and because Islamic States led by Pakistan are already using the wording of this Irish law to promote new blasphemy laws at UN level.
We believe in the golden rule: that we have a right to be treated justly, and that we have a responsibility to treat other people justly. Blasphemy laws are unjust: they silence people in order to protect ideas. In a civilised society, people have a right to to express and to hear ideas about religion even if other people find those ideas to be outrageous.
Publication of 25 blasphemous quotes
In this context we now publish a list of 25 blasphemous quotes, which have previously been published by or uttered by or attributed to Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Mark Twain, Tom Lehrer, Randy Newman, James Kirkup, Monty Python, Rev Ian Paisley, Conor Cruise O?Brien, Frank Zappa, Salman Rushdie, Bjork, Amanda Donohoe, George Carlin, Paul Woodfull, Jerry Springer the Opera, Tim Minchin, Richard Dawkins, Pope Benedict XVI, Christopher Hitchens, PZ Myers, Ian O?Doherty, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O?Connor and Dermot Ahern.
Despite these quotes being abusive and insulting in relation to matters held sacred by various religions, we unreservedly support the right of these people to have published or uttered them, and we unreservedly support the right of any Irish citizen to make comparable statements about matters held sacred by any religion without fear of being criminalised, and without having to prove to a court that a reasonable person would find any particular value in the statement.
Campaign begins to repeal the Irish blasphemy law
We ask Fianna Fail and the Green Party to repeal their anachronistic blasphemy law, as part of the revision of the Defamation Act that is included within the Act. We ask them to hold a referendum to remove the reference to blasphemy from the Irish Constitution.
We also ask all TDs and Senators to support a referendum to remove references to God from the Irish Constitution, including the clauses that prevent atheists from being appointed as President of Ireland or as a Judge without swearing a religious oath asking God to direct them in their work.
If you run a website, blog or other media publication, please feel free to republish this statement and the list of quotes yourself, in order to show your support for the campaign to repeal the Irish blasphemy law and to promote a rational, ethical, secular Ireland. (Read more to see the quotes.)

You know that Nigerian f**kwit who tried to blow up a plane of completely innocent people, in accordance with his views on Islam? Well, apparently he has burned his genitals and will likely never use them again. Excellent! We could do without people with this kind of murderous mindset being able to have kids.
See, if Allah really exists, it clearly didn't want this dickwad to succeed, and it also felt that his genitals needed to be burned beyond all recognition. What does that say about this 'god'? It says it does not exist. These murdering terrorist scum can sit there all they like shouting "Allahu akbar!" but with their failure to succeed it's clear they are simply delusional pillocks.
What sort of person thinks that their 'religion of peace' is peaceful if the god sitting atop it wants all non-believers to be killed? If you think that's peaceful, you're a prick.
